The Kaeden Brown Foundation is excited to partner with the Taxandria Soccer Club to bring this playground structure to their facility, where we know it will be well loved and enjoyed by the thousands of young people who visit the club with their families annually. We hope to get the playground installed by Active Playground Equipment as early as Fall 2025. The Kaeden Brown Foundation is thrilled to announce that applications for the KBF Scholarship are now open!

This scholarship, established in memory of Kaeden Brown, aims to support a deserving student who embodies the same characteristics and zest for life that Kaeden did.

The KBF Scholarship is awarded annually to a student currently attending North Lambton Secondary School. The recipient of the scholarship must demonstrate a passion for life in both academic and non-academic pursuits. This scholarship is a one-time award of $5000, which must be used towards tuition and books at an accredited post-secondary institution.

The KBF Scholarship is a testament to the foundation's commitment to empowering future leaders. By providing financial support to deserving students, the KBF aims to help them achieve their academic and career goals. The scholarship not only recognizes academic achievement but also celebrates the student's passion for life and their potential to make a positive impact on the world.

KBF "Birthday Bash" and Golf Tournament

... beyond expectations ...

Wow … what a marathon week for the foundation! Over 325 people attended the Thursday night Birthday Bash and enjoyed a great evening of auction items, and entertainment by the Cory Mitchel Band.

Friday’s weather was perfect, and we hosted over 300 golfers on two different courses! It was a great day of golf (or no golf). After wrapping up a day of golf, everyone was invited back to Darren’s for some good food, good times, and golf stories with good friends… a perfect way to end the day!

With thanks to everyone’s support, we are excited to announce we raised $125,000 which far exceed our expectations! Amazing community support which allows us to continue to support local community initiatives!

Arkona's Grand Opening of the Splash Pad

A Day of Celebration and Community Spirit

On Sunday, September 16, Arkona experienced a day to remember as over 50 families gathered for the Grand Opening of the Splash Pad. The event was a resounding success, with over 150 hands getting wet and forever becoming a part of Arkona's new splash pad.

The day kicked off with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the splash pad. Excitement filled the air as children and adults alike eagerly awaited their turn to experience the fun and refreshing water features.

After the ribbon cutting, the festivities continued at Darren and Maryellen's for the 3rd Annual Family Fish Fry. The event was a hit, with kids enjoying bouncing in the inflatable pirate ship, playing games, and getting their faces painted. Meanwhile, the chefs of the day cooked up a storm, preparing 100lbs of fish and 30lbs of home-cooked potato chips.

The success of the day was a testament to the strong sense of community in Arkona. The Kaeden Brown Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to each and every participant, as their support and enthusiasm made the event truly special. Once again, the community has shown that it is the best, and the future of Arkona is bright with such a strong and supportive community behind it.

Bringing Joy to Bosanquet Central Public School

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Kaeden Brown Foundation (KBF) recently embarked on a project to provide much-needed playground equipment for Bosanquet Central Public School. The initiative was born out of discussions with Principal Steve Thomas, who highlighted the school's need for a new playground system.

The KBF is thrilled to announce that a brand new, multi-piece playground system has been purchased and installed at Bosanquet Central Public School. The project was completed with the help of the KBF Crew, Mark and Kevin VanBree from Birnam Excavating, and the Blue Imp installers. Despite facing some cold and wet days, the team worked tirelessly to ensure that the playground was ready for the children to enjoy.

With an expected completion date of early November 2010, the KBF hopes that the children will have ample time to play on the new equipment before the snow arrives. However, the impact of this project will extend far beyond the immediate future. The playground will provide countless hours of fun and entertainment for the children in the years to come, fostering a sense of joy and community spirit within the school.
