1st Annual KBF Golf Event
WOW, what a great day at Widder Station Golf and Country Club! On Friday, June 25th, the Kaeden Brown Foundation along with our special guests Angelo, Pete and Mike from the Fish’n Canada Show, held its inaugural KBF Golf Event. 172 golfers tee’d it up on a beautiful day and enjoyed 18 holes of golf. Once the golf ended, everyone had a chance to relax in and around Widder Station before we were treated to an excellent steak dinner. After dinner, the festivities didn’t end! We started the event off by presenting our very first scholarship, or should I say two scholarships, to two very deserving recipients. From there, it was onto the fun stuff. We started handing out the awards for the day. The inaugural winning team with a score of 16 under par, was Scott Jamieson, Mike Jamieson, Joe Kocur and Tom Parker, who needed two extra playoff holes to grab the trophy. Mens and Ladies closest to pin winners were Mick Chalmers and Rose Kohler. Mens and Ladies longest drive winners were Shawn McPherson and Julie Boyd. Congratulations to all our winners! Next, it was onto the live auction. We had lots of great items up for auction; including a fishing trip for 4 with Fish’n Canada to Lodge 88 on Esnagi Lake, a day of fishing with Fish’n Canada, Mike Weir signed pictures, Steve Yserman signed jersey, personally signed Joe Kocur jersey, Kids sized Nazem Kadri signed London Knights jersey, 42″ LCD and much, much more. At the end of the night, when all was said and done, the Kaeden Brown Foundation along with your help, raised over $50,000! We would like to thank everyone that played a part in making this the most successful tournament that Widder Station ever hosted.
